Misdemeanor & Criminal Traffic

Misdemeanor and Criminal Traffic are heard in county court, with the maximum penalty for either being 11 months and 29 days county jail. The county criminal division handles intake of all misdemeanor and criminal traffic cases as well as court dates and final disposition of the case(s). The deputy clerks can advise you of upcoming court dates and the status of an ongoing case.

For a defendant wanting to file a motion on his or her own behalf, pro se motion forms are available. The filing fee for this type of motion is $5 and once the motion has been filed it will be forwarded to the judge’s office for review.
